1General Conditions & Scope

Provider: These terms apply to all sales, services, and digital interactions provided under the Chibis brand name via the website chibis.ch.

Eligibility: By placing an order, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old or have legal parental consent to make a purchase.

2Products, Specifications, and Manufacturing

Hand-Finished Nature: Each Chibi keychain is custom 3D-printed in PLA with 0.2mm precision layers, individually hand-finished, and inspected. Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor surface variations, micro-textures, or cosmetic imperfections are normal features of the manufacturing process and do not constitute defects.

Component Integration: Keychains include an embedded NFC tag and a surface-level QR code sealed under a protective layer of UV epoxy resin.

Product Wear and Tear: While the epoxy resin and PLA are rugged, keychains are subject to friction and mechanical impact from daily use (e.g., rubbing against metal keys). Chibis is not responsible for typical cosmetic wear, fading, or scratching over time.

3Pricing, Payments, and Ordering

Pricing: All prices listed on chibis.ch are in Swiss Francs (CHF) unless stated otherwise, and exclude applicable taxes and shipping fees calculated at checkout.

Payment Processing: All secure payments, order monitoring, and transaction data are processed through our designated e-commerce platform (Shopify) and its integrated payment gateways.

Checkout & Contract Formation: Purchases are completed through Shopify's secure hosted checkout (Shopify Buy Button). By placing an order you make a binding offer to purchase; the contract of sale is concluded when we send the order confirmation by email. The price and conditions displayed at checkout at the time of ordering are decisive.

Payment Methods & Card Data: Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout and are processed exclusively by Shopify and its payment providers. Chibis never receives or stores your full payment card details. Payment and transaction data may be processed by Shopify outside Switzerland; details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Failed or Reversed Payments: Orders are only fulfilled after successful payment authorization. In the event of a chargeback or reversed payment initiated without valid grounds, we reserve the right to suspend fulfilment and recover costs.

4Right of Return (Widerrufsrecht)

Final Sale: In accordance with Swiss statutory frameworks, there is no automatic right of return for online purchases. Because Chibis are manufactured using custom small-batch 3D-printing and hand-finishing processes, all sales are final. Returns, refunds, or exchanges are only accepted in the case of clear manufacturing defects present upon delivery and reported within 14 days of receipt.

5The "Lost & Found" Privacy Bridge Utility

Scope of Service: Chibis provides a free web-based form utility located at chibis.ch/lost to help facilitate the return of lost items.

The Privacy Bridge: Our system is explicitly designed as a privacy-first intermediary. When a finder inputs a physical Chibi's unique serial number and submits a report, Chibis acts as the sole communications bridge to alert the owner.

No Data Sharing: Chibis will never directly disclose the owner's private contact details to the finder, nor the finder's details to the owner, without explicit prior consent.

Age Limit: By submitting a report on chibis.ch/lost, the user confirms they are either of legal age or have obtained explicit parental consent to submit their information.

Limitation of Liability for Lost Items: The Lost & Found platform is provided as a best-effort utility. Chibis does not guarantee that a lost keychain will be found, scanned, or successfully returned. Chibis is not legally liable for any lost personal property, keys, or damages resulting from a keychain being lost or remaining unrecovered. We rely entirely on the accuracy and goodwill of third-party finders submitting reports. Chibis cannot be held liable for inaccurate, delayed, or malicious information submitted via the form.

6Intellectual Property

All designs, 3D models, branding elements, graphics, logos, and website text associated with Chibis are the exclusive intellectual property of the brand owner. Unauthorized reproduction, replication, or commercial resale of Chibis physical designs or digital assets is strictly prohibited.

7Data Privacy

Use of our website and submission of forms (including optional finder details on the Lost & Found page) are handled securely in accordance with Swiss data protection standards (revDSG). Details on all data processing, including Shopify (checkout and payments), Formspree (forms), and Google (fonts, analytics), are set out in our Privacy Policy. Optional information provided by a finder is strictly used to facilitate item recovery and is never sold or used for marketing.

8Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising out of the purchase of products or use of the website shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any legal proceedings shall be the courts of the Canton of Jura, Switzerland.

Language: These Terms and Conditions are available in English, French, and German. In case of discrepancies, the English version prevails.
